Application of Sodium Hexametaphosphate in the Production of High Water Dispersible Titanium Dioxide

1. A method for preparing highly water-dispersive titanium dioxide is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps in sequence:
A. add dispersant to titanium dioxide slurry and stir evenly;
B. Add the solution containing phosphorus for curing;
C. Add aluminum sulfate solution to control the pH value of titanium dioxide slurry to 1.5 ~ 4.5, and then maturation;
D. Sodium metaluminate solution was added to control the pH value of titanium dioxide slurry to 8.5 ~ 10.5, and the slurry was cured;

E. Adjust the pH value of titanium dioxide slurry to 7.0 ~ 7.8, curing;
F. After filtration, washing, drying and grinding, titanium dioxide with high water dispersion can be obtained.


2. According to the method of preparing high water dispersive titanium dioxide described in claim 1, its characteristic lies in that, in step a, the titanium dioxide paste is obtained by beating the primary product of rutile type titanium dioxide with desalinated water, and the concentration of the titanium dioxide paste is 220-380g /l.


3. According to claim 1 the preparation of high water dispersion of titanium dioxide method, its characteristic is that, in the step a, described in the temperature of the titanium pigment paste is 50 ~ 90 ℃.

According to the method for preparing highly water-dispersible titanium dioxide described in claim 1, its characteristics lie in that, in step b, the phosphorous solution is one or more of the phosphoric acid solution, sodium hexagaphosphate solution, trisodium phosphate solution and sodium pyrophosphate solution.


7. According to the method described in claim 1 or 6 for the preparation of highly water-dispersed titanium dioxide, its characteristics are that, in step b, the amount of phosphorus solution added is calculated as P2O5, and the mass ratio of P2O5 to TiO2 in the titanium dioxide paste is calculated as 2:100-4:100.
8. According to the method of preparing high water-dispersive titanium dioxide described in claim 1, its characteristics are that, in step c, the amount of the aluminum sulfate solution is calculated as Al2O3, and the mass of TiO2 in the titanium dioxide paste is calculated as Al2O3 1.0 ~ 3.2%; In step d, the addition of the sodium metaluminate solution

9. According to the method of preparing high water dispersive titanium dioxide described in claim 1, its characteristic is that in step e, dilute acid with a mass concentration of 10 ~ 20% is used to adjust the pH value of titanium dioxide paste.


10. According to the method of preparing high water dispersive titanium dioxide described in claim 1, its characteristics lie in that the curing time of steps b to e is 5 ~ 60min, 10 ~ 110min, 10 ~ 110min and 60 ~ 180min respectively.
